BAA availableIs Doxy.me HIPAA compliant?
Checked 6 Nov 2026 from 5 vendor sources
Doxy.me says all users can get a free BAA. Free plans get an Individual BAA covering one user, and paid plans get a Clinic-level BAA covering all users, managed by an Owner or Admin. A BAA is one requirement. Your clinic still has to set the tool up correctly and control who has access.
| Plan or product | BAA |
|---|---|
| Free (Individual BAA, one user) | Covered |
| Paid plans (Clinic-level BAA, all users) | Covered |
What the BAA leaves out
- An Individual BAA covers one user only
- Downgrading from a paid plan ends the Clinic-level BAA
How to get the BAA
Generate it yourself on the BAA page in Settings. On paid plans, an Owner or Admin manages it.
What the vendor says to do
- Open the BAA page in Settings
- Enter your information, generate the BAA and keep a copy

This isn’t legal advice. A BAA is one requirement. Your clinic still has to set the tool up correctly and control who has access. Vendors change their terms, so confirm with the vendor before you sign. PHI means protected health information, which includes patient data.
