On some plansIs Fireflies.ai HIPAA compliant?
Checked 6 Nov 2026 from 2 vendor sources
Fireflies offers HIPAA on Enterprise plans on request and requires both a signed BAA and Private Storage for it to be active. So the answer depends on your plan. Check yours below before any patient data goes in.
| Plan or product | BAA |
|---|---|
| Plans below Enterprise (must upgrade first) | Not covered |
| Enterprise with Private Storage enabled and signed BAA | Covered |
How to get the BAA
Complete the BAA on the vendor’s contract page at fireflies.ai/baa after moving to Enterprise and enabling Private Storage.
What the vendor says to do
- Be on an Enterprise plan
- Enable Private Storage from the Team tab settings, which moves data to dedicated infrastructure
- Review and sign the BAA at fireflies.ai/baa
- Confirm HIPAA Compliance shows as Enabled in the Security Checklist
- Keep all three conditions in place; removing or downgrading any one disables HIPAA immediately

This isn’t legal advice. A BAA is one requirement. Your clinic still has to set the tool up correctly and control who has access. Vendors change their terms, so confirm with the vendor before you sign. PHI means protected health information, which includes patient data.
