Best HIPAA compliant website builders
2 tools compared. Checked 6 Nov 2026.
A brochure site doesn’t need a BAA, but a site with forms or bookings might. Few website builders offer one.
Where to start
Wix offers a BAA to eligible US providers on qualifying plans, so start there. Squarespace says Acuity is its only HIPAA feature, so don’t collect patient data with its website forms.
| Tool | Result | Where the BAA applies |
|---|---|---|
| WWix | On some plans | Qualifying plans, eligible US providers |
| SSquarespace | No BAA | Says Acuity is its only HIPAA feature |
Wix
On some plansWix offers a BAA to eligible US healthcare providers and their business associates on qualifying plans, signed in the dashboard after PHI protection is activated.
Covered: Business, Plus, Elite, Business Elite and Enterprise Premium or Studio plans, on Harmony Editor, Wix Studio Editor or Wix Headless sites.
Left out: Apps not on Wix’s HIPAA-compliant list, and more.

No BAASquarespace says Acuity is its only feature designed for HIPAA obligations, its BAA does not cover other features, and PHI should not be kept or sent through Squarespace outside Acuity.
Left out: Form blocks, which Squarespace says cannot be part of a HIPAA-compliant solution, and more.

- Confirm the BAA covers your exact plan and every feature you’ll use.
- Get the BAA signed before any patient data goes in.
- Turn on the settings the vendor requires, and train your staff on them.
This isn’t legal advice. A BAA is one requirement. Your clinic still has to set the tool up correctly and control who has access. Vendors change their terms, so confirm before you sign. PHI means protected health information, which includes patient data.
