On some plans

monday.com offers a BAA on its Enterprise plan, which admins review and accept on the Compliance page before PHI is transferred. So the answer depends on your plan. Check yours below before any patient data goes in.

What the BAA leaves out

  • Third-party apps and integrations
  • Broadcast feature is disabled on HIPAA-enabled accounts
  • Mobile apps below iOS 3.331 and Android 3.190715

How to get the BAA

An admin accepts it in Administration, Security, Compliance on an Enterprise account.

What the vendor says to do

  • Upgrade to Enterprise
  • Open Administration, Security, Compliance and review and accept the BAA
  • Click Activate HIPAA Compliance
  • Optionally enable Redact Content in Email & Reply Updates

Proof from the vendor

  • monday.com and HIPAAEnterprise only, activation steps, third-party and Broadcast limits, mobile versions
  • AI FAQsmonday AI can be used with PHI by healthcare customers with a BAA

This isn’t legal advice. A BAA is one requirement. Your clinic still has to set the tool up correctly and control who has access. Vendors change their terms, so confirm with the vendor before you sign. PHI means protected health information, which includes patient data.
